Where is Santorini?
Santorini is part of the archipelago of Cyclades.
The island is above Crete, from which is far 189 km.
North you will find the islands of Milo, Ios, Paros, Naxos.
When to go?
If you want to sunbathe and dive, the best period is the summer.
Otherwise you can come in spring and september, if you want to visit the island avoiding hot weather.
As all the Cyclades islands, over Santorini blows a dry fresh wind, called the Maltemi.
During the summer months it is very hot, but in the evening it is better to wear clothes with sleeve.
I advise you to pack in your suitcase some warm clothes, as in case of bad weather the evening becomes very cold.
How to get to Santorini?
For those people who are afraid of flying the only mean of transport is the ferry boat.
Otherwise I advise not to travel by this mean, if you don’t want to lose a day and a half of travelling only for the one way.
There are so many carriers that connect United Kingdom to the Greece and in particular to Santorini, such as Easyjet and Aegan Airlines.
